The Christmas Tree Festival was first organised by Hythe 2000 Charitable Trust in 2009 and has grown year by year to become a much-loved part of Hythe’s Christmas celebrations.
Hosted at St John’s Church, the festival takes place from late November and runs for approximately two weeks. Please check our diary nearer the time for the confirmed festival dates and opening times.
Local businesses, community organisations, schools and individuals are invited to take part by providing and decorating Christmas trees, wreaths and festive garlands. These wonderful creations are displayed throughout the church for visitors to enjoy during the festival.
Many of the decorated trees, wreaths and garlands are available to purchase through our silent auction, with successful bidders able to collect their purchases at the end of the festival.
Admission to the Christmas Tree Festival is free, although visitors are very welcome to donate if they wish.
Funds raised through this important community event are shared equally between Hythe 2000 and St John’s Church, helping to support their work within the local community.
